What resolution should my images be to print well?

Images will look best if the files are 300dpi at the size used. Remember that if you are zooming in on an area of an image in your layout (and blowing it up) you will lose your pixel density and the image might end up looking “soft” or fuzzy. The best test is to create an Illustrator default format PDF file and see how it looks on screen. If it looks good it will probably print fine. Our digital and flexographic labels both print with identical  “offset” quality – the highest possible and is the same quality that we produce on our folding carton work.
